The Foundry Boosts Sales and Engineering Teams

Visual effects software developer, The Foundry,
has announced the hiring of Andy Lomas and Patrick Jocelyn
to their team.
Andy Lomas joins as Lead Engineer, with responsibility for
integrating core elements of the look development and lighting
technology acquired by The Foundry from Sony Imageworks into
their product portfolio and Patrick Jocelyn becomes Global
Head of Sales. Both will be based in the companys Soho
headquarters that now houses more than 65 staff.
EMMY Award Winner, Lomas, has over 16 years experience in
the computer generated effects and animation industry and
joins The Foundry from Framestore, Europes largest digital
effects company, where he was Head of Computer Graphics. Prior
to that, Lomas spent nearly half a decade working in California
at DreamWorks and ESC Entertainment as Head of Character Effects
and Head of Computer Graphics respectively.
Over the last 15 years he has been involved in a variety of
projects ranging from commercials and television to live action
visual effects and CG feature animation with credits including
James Camerons widely acclaimed Avatar movie, The Matrix
sequels and Walking with Dinosaurs.
Commenting on his appointment, Lomas said: The Foundry

the modern world of VFX and post production. I am looking

position in the future.
Patrick Jocelyn brings over 20 years of experience working
at companies intent on changing the way highly creative content
is produced in the film and post production industries. Patrick
brings extensive sales and marketing expertise and is tasked
with leading the, already successful, global sales team as
the company and its product portfolio grows ambitiously.
Prior to assuming his new position at The Foundry, Patrick
managed the broadcast and post production business in Europe,
the Middle East & Africa as Sales Vice President for leading
technology company Avid. He has also held a number of senior
positions at other high-profile media technology companies
including Autodesk, Liquid Audio, Discreet Logic, Dynatech
Video Group and Quantel.
Jocelyn today commented: The Foundry is a fast growing

suite of tools, including Award winners Nuke, Furnace and
