Technicolor
and Paramount Facility to Open Next Summer
September
24, 2010 Source: Technicolor Paramount Pictures
has completed the structure that will house its new post production facility on
its Hollywood lot.
The nearly 90,000-square-foot facility is scheduled
to open in the summer of 2011 and will become the centerpiece of The Studio at
Paramounts post
production complex, providing a complete range of services for filmed entertainment,
broadcast and commercial productions.
Technicolor is Paramounts
partner in the development and operations of the facility, and will expand its
range of post services as well as the companys overall footprint in Hollywood
through the new complex.
The Technicolor operations will feature latest
digital infrastructure for providing sound services for film, television and commercials.
In addition, the facility will be networked, via the Technicolor Production Network,
to Technicolors global facilities. This will allow producers to access the
companys array of post services remotely, including color grading and digital
intermediate services, review and approval suites for VFX, digital encoding and
delivery services. The building will also feature 15,000 square feet
of new editorial and production office space, which will be operated by The Studios
at Paramount.
