Annapurna Studios expands its DI capabilities with second Mistika 4K system

SGO announces that Annapurna Studios has expanded its DI operation with the acquisition of a second Mistika 4K DI system at its Hyderabad-based location to expand and future-proof the facility. The new Mistika increases further, the creative power the facility provides its clients, making Annapurna one of the most advanced DI facilities in India.

Annapurna Studios has a close relationship with SGO and relies on Mistika to service high-end mainstream film projects, both at home and abroad. With Mistika's real-time 4K, Stereo 3D, and DI capabilities, the world-class operation provides film services that are technically and creatively unrivalled in India and comparable with the highest international standards.

Umapathy Rao, Chief Financial Officer at Annapurna Studios confirms: “We are delighted to add another Mistika system to our DI facility to enhance our client service capabilities. Light Illusion, SGO's partner and industry leading DI consultancy, supplies direct support and services to Annapurna’s new DI operation. Annapurna Studios also employs Light Illusion’s famed LightSpace CMS technology in tandem with Mistika enabling a highly calibrated environment making sure any image is accurately portrayed across a wide range of target environments and displays.

Light Illusion has overseen all aspects of the build-up, from specifying all the technical requirements of the equipment, through to the provision of technical and creative training for the Annapurna team.
