Rushes are delighted that zombie chiller “28 Weeks Later” picked up the Best Horror Award at last night’s star-studded Sony Ericsson Empire Awards, held at The Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair, London.
Rushes’ Film & TV completed 15 shots on “28 Weeks Later”, consisting of various rig removals and clean up work alongside adding 3D aircraft to aerial footage of Canary Wharf. The work was completed over a three week period using Shake, Maya and Pixar’s Renderman software.
Jonathan Privett, Rushes’ Head of 3D, comments, “It was a real pleasure to be asked to contribute to “28 Weeks Later”. Sean (Mathiesen, VFX Supervisor) and Tim (Field, VFX Producer) were great to work with and we were able to help the production deliver top quality visual effects within a pretty compressed time frame.”
Congratulations to all involved in the project!
