LIGHTIRON Debuts File-Based Post Facility in Los Angeles
LIGHTIRON Digital has launched in Los Angeles, offering a complete range of file-based post production services for film, television, web, and advertising media.

Founded by brothers Michael and Peter Cioni, the company is composed of two divisions, IRONWORK, providing such services as dailies processing for tape and tapeless media, offline and online editorial, data conform and color grading; and LIGHTWORK, providing technology consultation, systems integration and workflow design.
New Quantel release supports Silicon Imaging SI-2K camera
Quantel announced that its V4.1 Rev7 software for Pablo, iQ and eQ includes native support for the CineForm RAW files produced by the Silicon Imaging SI-2K camera.
Mexico's Oxido Adds FilmLight's Baselight
Mexico City post house Oxido has acquired a Baselight ONE from FilmLight enabling it to offer colour grading services for the first time.
 
The company's principal aim is to provide grading services for its existing advertising clients, but it also plans to use Baselight to expand into long form post production.
 
Oxido, whose advertising credits include work for Banamex, Telcel, Nestlé's and Kellogg's, expects to grade its first feature film later this year.
Deluxe Australia Chooses Catapult from XDT
XDT announced that Deluxe Australia has purchased the full suite of Catapult products including Catapult 4K, Catapult Bridge and Flipstream for both its Sydney and Melbourne facilities.
 
Catapult 4K is an integrated solution consisting of an enterprise-grade, redundant, 3RU server delivering a data rate in excess of 1200 Megabytes per second in RAID5 over 16 SATA HDDs with XDT's unique Catapult Server software.
 
Catapult Bridge provides NFS and CIFS client access to frame sequences stored on any Catapult system.
Masterimage 3D announces that Deluxe Digital Cinema has selected their premiere 3D imaging solution
Masterimage 3D, makers of 3D systems, announced that Deluxe Digital Cinema, a subsidiary of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, has selected their 3D imaging solution, MI-2100, for use in their 3D post production facility and screening room.
 
The system will be used for quality control and final approval purposes during all phases of 3D content production.
