MTI Film Places Nucoda Film Master at the Core of their New Facility
Digital Vision announced that MTI Film will position Nucoda's Film Master as a cornerstone of their workflow in their new Hollywood facility.
 
The initial order puts two Nucoda Film Masters in place as a key component in their color grading for restoration service offerings.

Euphonix Ships new MC Color Grading Surface

Euphonix has started shipping MC Color, a color grading surface that offers control and integration with Apple's Color 1.5.

The slim-line MC Color attaches to the Mac via Ethernet, and features high-resolution optical trackballs, trackwheels, displays, encoders and a host of programmable keys to speed up and enhance the Apple Color workflow.
LipSync Post installs Genetic Engineering from Quantel
LipSync Post recently installed a Quantel Genetic Engineering shared workflow solution to support its two Quantel Pablo color correction suites and iQ DI system.
 
All three systems now work with the same shared media without having to transfer media between suites or having to manage multiple different versions.
S.two Ships New FlashDock Transfer Station
The FlashDock is a portable editorial ingest and archival station for FlashMag solid-state magazines from OB-1 , S.two's on-board digital film recorder.

A small self-contained uncompressed recorder for HD, HD4:4:4 and raw production, OB-1 weighs under 7 lbs. (3Kg) and draws under 20W of power, is powered directly from the camera, fully solid state and completely silent in operation.

DVS Celebrates 25 Years

DVS CEOs Dr. Hans-Ulrich Weidenbruch, Dr. Peter Spoer, and Dr. Siegfried Beyer recognized early the importance of digital video technology and focused initially on creating systems for research and development.
 
In 1986, after only one year in business, DVS unveiled the world's first semiconductor storage for image sequences in HDTV and achieved its first technological milestone.
BlueBolt VFX Announces First Projects and Appointment of David Jeffers as Chairman
VFX post-production facility BlueBolt has announced its first projects and the appointment of David Jeffers as company chairman.

BlueBolt was established last September by three former Moving Picture Company (MPC) staff and provides state-of-the-art 2D and CGI capabilities.
 
BlueBolt is working on the John Landis-directed comedy Burke & Hare (Ealing Studios/Fragile Films), working on digital set extensions, 2D compositing and CG.
 
It has already completed VFX work on a number of feature films, including Sherlock Holmes (Warner Bros) and Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time (Jerry Bruckheimer Films/Walt Disney Pictures).
Broadway Video Appoints Ron Harris to Lead Sales Effort
Ron Harris has joined Broadway Video as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Harris, who brings more than 25 years of experience in the post production industry, will oversee sales for Broadway Video's edit and sound divisions, and will seek both to strengthen current client relationships and help the company move into new areas.
 
Harris most recently headed sales for the New York office of L.A. Digital Post. 
 
Andy Hargreaves is Made Lead 3D Artists at Rushes
In his new postion Andy will be taking a much more active role in the process of bidding, client conferences, on set supervision, freelancer administration and project management of commercials with a heavy 3D component.
