15 Scientific and Technical Achievements to be Honored with Academy Awards
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that 15 scientific and technical achievements represented by 46 individual award recipients will be honored at its annual Scientific and Technical Awards Presentation at The Beverly Wilshire on Saturday, February 20, 2010.
Volker Bahnemann to Step Down as President and CEO of ARRI Inc. and CSC

Volker Bahnemann, President and CEO of ARRI Inc. and Camera Service Center (CSC) has announced he will step down from his roles at the company this coming spring. Bahnemann leaves with a legacy of 48 years with ARRI, 32 of which he served as CEO of ARRI Inc.

Taking Bahnemann's place is Glenn Kennel, who joined ARRI in 2009 with the new position of Chief Technology Officer. 
The Look adds Pablo Neo and installs second Quantel grading suite
London post boutique The Look has upgraded its Quantel suite to full Pablo specification complete with the Neo grading panel.

It has also added a second grading suite comprising a Quantel eQ finishing system with the QColor grading option.
 
The Look specialises in high quality long-form and commercials work. Recent projects include two of 2009's most acclaimed UK BBC drama series - 'Desperate Romantics' and 'Criminal Justice 2', as well as commercials for Gordon's Gin (shot super slo-mo on Phantom) and Unilever's Impulse product featuring girl-band 'The Saturdays' (shot on the Canon 5D digital SLR).
Point.360 WEST Performs Full Post of "Super Dave's Spike-tacular"
Point.360 WEST provided 100% post-production for Spike TV's series "Super Dave Spike-tacular."

Emmy-award winner Bob Einstein reprised his role as Stuntman Extraordinaire, Super Dave Osborne, in a four-part Spike TV event following the Super One as he prepared for a death-defying stunt each week.
 
Camouflage Films turned to Point.360 WEST to piece the individual components together - previsualization, visual effects, dailies, graphics, edit, titles, audio record/ mix and delivery.
The Foundry are now offering free comprehensive Nuke tutorials online

Over the last few months The Foundry has enlisted the help of industry professional, Frank Rueter (Weta Digital, Digital Domain, www.ohufx.com), and renowned trainer, Steve Wright to assist the in house demo team in producing a comprehensive set of Nuke tutorials.
