Attached directly to
a RAID, there is now no need to prep or ingest material as
the Revolution has sufficient bandwidth to process 2048 x
1556 @ 32fps.
The real-time lay off function utilises latent processor time
the time between Colorist adjustments to lay
back graded material whilst still in session; often meaning
that upon the final adjustment to the look, the finished job
is already back on the storage and available to other departments.

1000 Volt soon experienced the benefits of the unique duality
of the system when a clients drive with RED material arrived
shortly after installation: Reviewing the material directly
from the drive, an import to the RAID commenced through the
Revolution system.
With the transfer running in the background a grade from film
to tape began concurrently in the suite. The file based transfer
could then begin immediately the film session completed. This
kind of flexibility and efficiency is aimed at maximising
the revenue potential of the suite.
All eyes are now on the testing that is taking place to process
stereoscopic, Mysterium X (4.5k) and Epic (5k) RED files through
the same 1U Revolution rack.
New features for the Revolution are being released all the
time and this complements the recently added data autoshot
detector and soon to be released matt import and median filter.
