The Los Angeles Post Production Group's next meeting will be on May 12th at 7pm and will feature presentations on Avid Media Composer 5 and DSLR by Moviola.

Avid’s Vincent Maza and Michael Krulik will be presenting the latest version of its flagship editing solution Avid Media Composer 5. This presentation will cover a complete demonstration of its new features, which include breakthrough workflow enhancements such as AMA support for QuickTime (including ProRes), RED, and Canon XF and HDSLR footage, HD-RGB support for full-quality finishing, and cost-effective monitoring solutions from Matrox. Following the demo will be a Q & A.

And several representatives from Moviola will be here to discuss the recent impact of DSLR HD Video Production. Their discussion will include - DSLR Format and Cameras including: Camera Layout/Menus, Sample Footage, and DSLR Production Analysis as well as the current ways productions are handling the Post-Production Workflow.

As always we will have our amazing raffle, light refreshments and some time to network and connect with other folks in the industry. We kindly request a $5 donation at the door.

The meeting will be held at the Stoner Recreational Center at 1835 Stoner Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90025. The cross street is Missouri Ave. where there is a big parking lot. Street parking is also available.
