About Us
Florida State University is an internationally recognized teaching and research institution committed to preparing its graduates for the ever-expanding opportunities of a global society. The Florida State Legislature created The College of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts (a.k.a. the Film School) in 1989 with the expressed mission to prepare men and women for successful careers in the film and television industries. The school operates on the main campus of The Florida State University located in Tallahassee, Fla., offering programs in undergraduate and graduate film production.
