Maverick Entertainment Group Incorporated (MEG) announced today a strategic partnership with www.FilmSchoolOnDemand.com; offering a “first look” distribution deal to aspiring filmmakers who take the 10 week course "Making and Selling Your First Film" and subsequently complete an independent film.

The deal is structured to allow filmmakers early access to "pitch" their film project testing its viability in the marketplace. After the film is produced and completed, a distribution deal is signed.

“We are excited about this new partnership and the ability to work with new and talented filmmakers. We have enjoyed helping them get exposure on a national as well as a global level,” said Doug Schwab, MEG Founder and President.

Maverick has been extremely successful in serving as a launching pad for many filmmakers who have moved on to work within a studio system creating major motion pictures. “Many of these filmmakers have credited us with teaching them how to create commercially viable content, while at the same time learning how to deliver films to a distributor at any level globally,” noted Schwab.

FilmSchoolOnDemand classes are taught by industry veterans with years of experience in production, development, distribution and marketing, and looks to provide real life experience and knowledge in an online class setting. Not seeking to replace a traditional film school education, FilmSchoolOnDemand is more like a “boot camp,” an intensive 10 week course on all aspects of filmmaking.

"Marketing and distribution are key to any successful film. Maverick's track record has been rock solid in getting new filmmakers seen and heard. Having worked with them on my first two features as a director, I can say from experience they are consistently successful at what they do: marketing and distributing your film. I am so excited on this alliance for students who join FSOD. Having a potential distribution deal when looking for financing will help immensely!" said David Basulto, FilmSchoolOnDemand's Founder and Dean.
