Class on Demand's training DVD for GenArts Sapphire is an extremely well presented hands-on educational experience that is a useful complement to the GenArts Sapphire software.

The DVD is produced to allow GenArts Sapphire users to explore what Sapphire can really do, yet it really only scratches the surface of the power of Sapphire. If you are a Sapphire expert, you may find it a bit general at times. If you are a beginner, you might need to watch the DVD a few times. Regardless of your level of experience, this DVD will help you expand your knowledge of Sapphire.

The instructor, Todd Prives, a GenArts employee, and Sapphire expert is articulate, somewhat humorous at times, and walks you through the effects in a well organized and easy to understand pace. The training runs for about 5 hours and is divided into the following effects categories; lighting effects; stylize effects; adjust, blur, distort, and sharpen effects.

The included project media allows you to participate in the lessons, as well as try out and create your own effects for a Final Cut or After Effects project.

Todd Prives is the Sr. Business Development and Marketing Manager at GenArts with over 8 years of industry experience in production, post-production and visual effects software. At GenArts, he is responsible for effects development, training, and product demonstrations for customers worldwide.
