CinePostproduction is strengthening its international marketing activities. By retaining John B. Birchell Hughes as Senior Vice President – International Workflow Development, the CinePostproduction team has at its disposal a technically versed and commercially successful industry expert for digital production and distribution workflows.

In looking after the International Workflow Development area, CinePostproduction will, through John, be better able to respond to the increasing demands of international producers and distributors. To support and complete their projects at international production locations, they require the comprehensive solutions that CinePostproduction can provide: everything from consultation, through all film and digital post-production services to the production of exhibition-ready copies for all the traditional and digital distribution channels, including the monitoring and control systems the new distribution channels require.

As one of Europe’s largest post-production houses, CinePostproduction provides integrated digital workflows at all its facilities. It is thus able to offer all services to support classical and digital post-production up to and including film copies, DCPs and/or HD transmission tapes for broadcasting from one single source and therefore with assured and control systems the new distribution channels require.

To this work area John brings the benefit of many years experience gained in the development of distribution digital workflows for motion pictures, including the pioneer background acquired at Boeing Digital Cinema. Most recently, at XDC, through the acquisition of projects for major international, independent and German studios and distributors, he developed DCI compliant workflows and has been intimately engaged in the implementation of digital cinema in Europe.
