Broadway Video Appoints Ron Harris to Lead Sales Effort

Ron Harris has joined Broadway Video as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Harris, who brings more than 25 years of experience in the post production industry, will oversee sales for Broadway Video’s edit and sound divisions, and will seek both to strengthen current client relationships and help the company move into new areas. Harris most recently headed sales for the New York office of L.A. Digital Post.

A native New Yorker, Harris said that he has been an admirer of Broadway Video for more than two decades. “It’s always had a certain panache…and a great location in the historic Brill Building,” he said. “I feel energized walking down the hall.”

“The facility is very busy right now and is poised to have a great year,” he added.

Harris said that he sees great potential to build on Broadway Video’s success in broadcast media as well as to expand its reach further into advertising. “We’ve got a really deep talent pool covering every aspect of post,” he observed. “We are a full service facility—there is nothing that a producer needs that we can’t deliver.”

Harris began his career as an editor, including a long stint as Senior Editor at National Video Center in New York. He continues to produce, direct and edit broadcast and corporate projects, and says his hands-on experience allows him to help his clients better plan for post.

Harris’ background also includes senior sales positions with National Video Center, Rhinoceros, Image Group Post and LA Digital Post—all in New York.

Broadway Video was founded in 1979 by producer Lorne Michaels to handle post production for Saturday Night Live. Since then, the facility, which makes its home in the historic Brill Building in Times Square, has provided post services for many other television shows, including 30 Rock. It has also expanded into short form media, serving a clientele that includes many of the top broadcast and cable networks and advertising agencies in the country.
