Blackmagic Design announced that Mercury
Post, one of Koreas fastest growing post-production
houses, has purchased and installed version 7 of the DaVinci
Resolve non-linear color correction system.
Since the installation of the 8 GPU Resolve system in July,
Mercury has already completed three high-profile television
advertising spots for Hyundai Motors K7, McDonalds
and Samsungs Galaxy Phone, using the Resolves
power and scalability to create and finish high profile spots
quickly.
Since its founding in 2004, Mercury has quickly become known
as one of the top advertising post houses in Korea, handling
work for Hyundai, Nikon, Korail and AIG. With a reputation
built around both top artists and top technology, Mercury
is using the Resolve in conjunction with a post-production
workflow that includes the latest Red, Final Cut Pro and Scanity
film scanning technology. Through the Resolve, Mercury is
able to provide the industrys best color correction
and 3D grading technology on any type of film format or data
type.
We are 100 percent satisfied with our purchase of the
new version of Resolve, said Mr. Dongsoo Kim, Executive
Director at Mercury Post. With the Resolve, we have
already finished three graphic-intensive projects and have
already booked more projects solely based on what we can do
with the Resolve. It is a huge competitive advantage for us
to be able to say that we have the most powerful color correction
capabilities of any post house in Korea.
