Held
from May 24 to 28, 2010 in the Paris area, S3D Campus will
gather some thirty international trainees wishing to learn
about the technological, artistic and financial aspects of
stereoscopic 3D (S-3D) from filming to broadcasting.
Coached by over a dozen experts from all
around the
globe (stereographers, engineers, production directors
),
S3D Campus will offer conferences, hands-on workshops for
3D filming and post-production, keynotes and networking events.
Sponsored by the EUs MEDIA program,
this one-of-a-kind course aims at developing a European network
of qualified technicians, producers and creators who will
master the new processes involved in creating 3D contents.
As a part of this event, organizers are offering 4 scholarships
that will be attributed to selected candidates, based on applications
to be sent by April 2.
Eligible trainees are: professionals with innovating 3D projects,
professionals originating from low-production European countries,
or teachers taking part in the development of S-3D in Europe.
The scholarships cover training costs, accommodation and part
of transport
costs. Candidates will be officially selected on April 15.
Avance Rapide, organizer of S3D Campus,
officially presented the training course on February 15 during
MEDIA Day on the Berlin Film Festival.
This course is organized in partnership
with Dimension 3, the international Forum on S-3D and new
images (La Plaine Saint-Denis, France, June 1-3, 2010).
