At this year's NAB, DVS presents CLIPSTER® as a convenient and safe solution for implementing the requirements of the Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) to the visitors of booth no. SL2612. Users also benefit from a new development in conforming: Digital contents may be edited and converted to various formats in real time on a single system. Speed, reliability and ease of use are the key factors here.
The new conforming tool boosts CLIPSTER's high-performance feature set with a clear focus on usability. The conforming tool provides users with a large number of tools to cover a wide range of possible conforming workflows. Numerous selecting, editing and modifying options for metadata enable users to work efficiently and comfortably. Users may also automatically restore one or several data lists in the timeline with a simple drag'n'drop, or resolve conforming conflicts. CLIPSTER® also provides efficient batch capturing and intelligent autoconforming of metadata, with editing features for online video files of up to 4K directly in the timeline. All these features make it easy for users to quickly restore offline projects. Finally, the innovative conforming tool enables the comparison of an offline project with a restored online project and its preparation for further steps such as color grading, versioning, and archiving.
CLIPSTER® offers all the DCI steps a user performs automatically: from the DSM (Digital Source Master) via the DCDM (Digital Cinema Distribution Master), the CPL (Composition Playlist) and the KDM (Key Delivery Message) to the DCP (Digital Cinema Package). Since the quality of the DCP may be verified immediately and the DI workstation is compatible with other DCI players, CLIPSTER® optimizes all stages of post production for digital cinema. CLIPSTER® is able to provide its contents with certificates and encryption of any type necessary or required, such as JPEG2000 encoding, AES and RSA encryption, as well as X509 certification.
Bernhard Reitz, DVS Head of Product Management: "We will stay true to our philosophy of using an open system design to offer our customers real added value. With our new conforming tool and the DCI mastering features our customers will be able to process even complex projects in their DI workflow fast and effectively with CLIPSTER® as the core."
