The 60th Annual ACE Eddie Awards, presented by American Cinema Editors, recognizes outstanding editing in nine categories of film, television and documentaries. This is a red carpet/black tie event.
In addition to the competitive awards, several honorary awards are handed out each year - Career Achievement awards to editors who have excelled in their craft and contributed to the art and craftsmanship of editing, the Golden Eddie "Filmmaker of the Year" award that is presented to a filmmaker of extraordinary vision.
Past Golden Eddie recipients include Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis, James Cameron, George Lucas and Ron Howard, among others.
